Young Dutch Quincy Wilson won Dancetour DJ Clash in 2015.
He started making music in 2012.
At the age of 16 he went to clubs to watch big names perform, this was the moment he decided to become a DJ. In order to focus on his dream he dropped out school and started making music and start building his brand Quincy Wilson.
2015 Was a big year for Quincy Wilson, playing for the Dutch Queen and King on Kingsday and played at Dancetour in the Netherlands. He also played a big festival in Dordrecht for more than 25.000 people.
In 2016 he played big festivals like Out Of Control Walibi Holland, Dancetour Goes and many more!
His first Summer Tour in Spain, he played in the Bumpers Lloret de Mar and the official Totally Summer Afterparty.
His career is only kicking off now; with so many things to come this is one to keep an eye out for.
At the age of only 4 years old, Quincy was already fascinated by music. He was always drumming on the table and making noise.
He grew up with his older sister and his parents in the small town ''Zwijndrecht', in the Netherlands'. There was always music playing in his home. When he was 10 years old Quincy got a passion for EDM music after he heard a few tracks from Basshunter. He listened to his tracks every day and got more excited for EDM. When he was 12 years old he bought his first DJ-Set and he started practising. Every day he watched and listened to live sets from the big names like Tiësto, Armin van Buuren & David Guetta and tried to replay their sets on his own turntable.
At the age of 16 he was finally permitted to enter the clubs and he saw names like Afrojack, Hardwell and Gregor Salto with his own eyes. He watched closely how they made their sets and got inspired by them. When he was 17 years old he decided to enter the Dancetour DJ Contest with his colleague T-Style. They won the contest in Dordrecht and nationwide. Now, at the age of 18, everyting goes so fast that sometimes Quincy doesn't even know which day it is. And he admits that sometimes it can be even exhausthing. Ofcourse he enjoys every minute but sometimes, when it goes less well, he watches his biggest idol Armin van Buuren and gets inspired again.
